NTC-M’s NEW GMDSS SIMULATOR


	NTC-M is pleased to announce its new simulator equipment for GMDSS – the Poseidon Pharos GMDSS Simulator. The newly installed Poseidon Pharos GMDSS simulator is designed to meet applicable performance standards adopted by the IMO and is certified by Telenor Maritime Radio (Norwegian Telecom) and MCA/AMERC (Association of Marine Electronics and Radio Colleges), UK. In this latest GMDSS simulator, all equipment simulated is based on the latest models of real equipment; all stations, both instructor station and student stations, simulates the following:
	INMARSAT B Ship Earth Station INMARSAT C Ship Earth Station MF/HF with DCS MF/HF NBDP (Telex) with MSI receiving capability VHF with DSC Portable VHF VHF Air Navtex EPIRB / SART Fleet 77 Radar with Ship Controls Printer facility for printed text communication
	Further, the system setup consists of 1 Instructor: 8 Student station simulators and is similar to the simulator system used in General Operator’s Certificate (GOC) assessment at National Telecommunications Commission.
